Fish Perfect for your Aquarium
Fish make for wonderful pets, as long as you care for them well. Aquariums form a beautiful section of a house. But there are those who believe that aquariums are hard to maintain. Should you manage that task, you shall find them to be great pets to have around. This means you need to know which fish is easier to care for. You need to also select breeds that can live among others. Here are several of them which you shall also know how to feed.
Danios are among the small, active and colorful kinds. You will find these as red, yellow and green. They may be lively, but are not aggressive and can therefore coexist with other species. They shall do well in a large aquarium with gravel and plants at the bottom, with pH levels close to that of fresh water.
Black Molly, on the other hand, can survive in fresh, brackish or salt water. They are thus easier to care for. They are commonly seen as platinum colored, dusty gold or black. They eat mostly flake and pellet foods, bloodworms, and brine shrimp. They can live with other fish as long as they are not larger.
Platies shall be in more color, such as in blue, purple, red-orange, and yellow. You can get more color blends after they have been bred. They are calmer and thus do well with similarly behaved fish. Their males are usually tinnier than the females. They do well in warmer water and eat flake food, freeze-dried food, and algae.
You will find Betta fish in shapes like half-moon, double-tail and crown tail. They like warmer water that is rinsed off often.
Neon Tetra come with silver or white abdomens with bright blue backs. They also live well with other species.
Guppies are the most playful of them all, and love to breed. You shall soon have lots of guppies in your aquarium. Their females grow much bigger, almost twice the males. The males are however the brighter colored ones.
Rainbow fish have several colors on. They also grow more colorful once they settle in their new aquarium. They are not aggressive or that much active.
Glofish are similar to Danios but also come with a neon shine. They prefer the company of other less aggressive fish.
